At LIVING WORD, our weekend service is an opportunity for you to connect with God as well as other believers. You’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music, and a practical, relevant message that concludes with a time of ministry and prayer if you need it. Children are well-cared for in fun-filled KidsZone. Parents of children ages two and under can enjoy the service from the comfort of the Parent Room.
As a first timer to LIVING WORD, you’ll be given a welcome gift. Make sure to stop by our Welcome Area just outside the Auditorium—after the service to talk with one of our team members to get to know more.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because LIVING WORD is not about what you look like or what you wear.
ARE YOU ACCESSIBLE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION?
Yes, you will see that we are very accessible via MTA either by train or bus:

- “A” train to Rockaway Boulevard: On exiting station to street level and walk south three blocks on Crossbay Boulevard to Sutter Avenue. LIVING WORD is at the corner of Sutter Ave and Crossbay Boulevard.
- “M” or “R” trains to Woodhaven Boulevard: Transfer to Q11 or Q21 bus to Crossbay Boulevard and Sutter Avenue.
- “J” train to Woodhaven Boulevard: Transfer to Q11 or Q21 to Crossbay Boulevard and Sutter Avenue.
- Also buses Q41 and Q7 stop in front of the church.
DO YOU HAVE A MIDWEEK SERVICE?
We have a dynamic mid-week service which focuses on worship and Bible study via Zoom.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At LIVING WORD your children are a top priority. Our Parent Room is a clean and safe space where parents of children ages two and under can enjoy the service with their child. We offer a fun-filled children’s ministry called KidsZone for children ages two through fifth grade. Additionally, Chosen Connect is our live-changing ministry for your teenager(s) meets one Sunday
a month.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved. Small groups, which we call Life Groups, and our mid-week Bible Study are also great ways to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith.
HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?
Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our weekly Bible Study and Corporate Prayer times offers the tools necessary to make this happen in your life.
WHY DO YOU HAVE LIFE GROUPS?
Life Groups are an important part of LIVING WORD; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our Life Groups. Groups allow you to meet other believers and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God.
As LIVING WORD grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups are constantly forming and are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. We encourage you to get involved and see how God will work in your life.
